They look way more complicated than they are. That's the fun part.

The beautiful woven-looking pattern is created with mosaic slip stitches while working with just one color at a time. No carrying multiple colors across a row and no stranded colorwork.

The bandana is worked flat from the top down, with simple shaping and neat i-cord edges. Three buttons at the back give it a comfortable, flexible fit.

Soft, bouncy and seriously squooshy with rich, saturated hand-dyed color.

Contrast Colors: 50g / 164 yards / 150 meters each
Total in Kit: 200g / 656 yards / 600 meters

⚓ You’ll Also Need

• US 4 / 3.5 mm knitting needles, or size needed to get gauge

• 3 buttons, approximately 1/2 to 5/8 inch / 1.5 cm round

OR

• 3 toggles no more than 1 inch / 2.5 cm long and 3/8 inch / 1 cm in diameter at the widest point

⚓ Gauge

25 stitches and 44 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in Woven Stripe Stitch

Approximately 23 stitches and 35.5 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch

For the best gauge check, work a flat swatch using the Woven Stripe Stitch provided in the pattern and measure after blocking. Stitch gauge is more important than row gauge for this project.

⚓ Care

Organic Merino Sport Treasures is non-superwash wool, which means it can felt. Hand wash gently in cool water with wool wash. Do not agitate, twist or wring. Gently squeeze out excess water, roll in a towel, then lay flat to dry.
