40-60 yards Heavy worsted to bulky art yarn (coils, granny knots, beehives, twists, cocoons, etc would work)
Needle size: 15 US (10 metric)

Yarn used in pattern is Treasured Coils Handspun, but you could use any kind of art yarn or handspun bulky weight yarn!
