Knitting Light Summer Tops with Bamboo Linen Treasures & Pure Silk Riches Yarn

Knitting Light Summer Tops with Bamboo Linen Treasures & Pure Silk Riches Yarn

Did you know Marie Greene has written a new book ALL about warm weather knits? Knitting Light 20 Mostly Seamless Tops, Tees & More for Warm Weather Wear is my new favorite knitting book EVER! There really is something for everyone and love how she's got 6 sizes for bust sizes of 32 inches to 60 inches too. If you don't have your book yet, grab a signed copy HERE! There's actually MORE tops that would be lovely knit up in Treasure Goddess Yarn, but these are some of my favorites.

I'm hosting a KAL (Knit A Long) starting 5/1/2024 with the Water Lily Silk Pullover (above) from Knitting Light. This top was designed with Pure Silk Riches Yarn, a lovely 100% mulberry silk fingering weight yarn that is a DREAM to knit with and even more of a dream to wear! It's designed to be worn with 2-3" positive ease. For a little more casual and a little more affordable version, the top could be knit with the same number of skeins of Bamboo Linen Treasures Yarn.

  • 3 skeins will knit tops for those with bust sizes of 32-36"
  • 4 skeins will knit tops for those with bust sizes of 38-46"
  • 5 skeins will knit tops for those with bust sizes of 48-56"
  • 6 skeins will knit tops for those with bust sizes of 58-60"

Starting 6/1/2024 I'm hosting a MAL (Make A Long) where you can knit/crochet/weave/sew your own summer top using Treasure Goddess Yarn. It can be a pattern of your choice. Here's a few ideas below:

I think this is the one I want to cast on June 1st, but I keep changing my mind! Above is the Dahlia Gathered Top (also from Knitting Light). This top would be amazing in Bamboo Linen Treasures Yarn too. This top is designed to have 6-8" positive ease.

  • 2 skeins will knit tops with finished bust measurements of 38-42"
  • 3 skeins will knit tops with finished bust measurements of 46-62"
  • 4 skeins will knit tops with finished bust measurements of 66-70"

This is the Thistle Sleeveless Tunic (which is actually an open long vest, the pic above shows back/sides. This design is also in Knitting Light and would be gorgeous in Bamboo Linen Treasures Yarn. There are three sizes which fit people with busts from 32" to 62". All can be knit up with 3 skeins of Bamboo Linen Treasures!

This ADORABLE top (above) is the Poppy Dotted Tee from Knitting Light. This top is a batwing style and designed to have significant ease. You actually choose your size based on your actual hip circumference. It would also knit up in Bamboo Linen Treasures Yarn.

  • 3 skeins will knit tops for people with hip measurements of 35.25" to 43"
  • 4 skeins will knit tops for people with hip measurements of 46.75" to 59"

This beauty (above) is the Magnolia Flutter Sides Top from Knitting Light. This top is designed to be worn with 2-3 inches positive ease. It would knit up beautifully in Bamboo Linen Treasures too.

  • 3 skeins will knit tops with finished bust measurements of 35.75-39.75"
  • 4 skeins will knit tops with finished bust measurements of 44.25"-52"
  • 5 skeins will knit tops with finished bust measurements of 55"-62.25"
  • 6 skeins will knit tops with finished bust measurements of 66.25"

You can also pick your own pattern outside of the Knitting Light book to create a summer top out of Treasure Goddess Yarn with us starting 6/1/2024 too! The pics above are from Chickami, a top I knit up holding 2 strands of Bamboo Linen Treasures together in the Sailing in the Sunshine colorway. It is the PERFECT weight for spring/summer/fall wear! 3-4 skeins of Bamboo Linen Treasures will knit all sizes from finished bust of 34" to 48". The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn and holding 2 strands together gave me the perfect gauge of 20 stitches to 4 inches. Technically it called for 2 skeins for my size, but I lengthened it a bit, I'm not really a cropped top wearer so I used about 2.5 skeins.

So join us in our KALs! You will be so POPULAR! I also give out tons of prizes, and our Yarn Pirates FB group has a ton of encouragement and fun during the KALs too.
